My Vote

In current events, Politics on May 11, 2010 at 4:06 PM

I voted for Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro.

I was only able to finalize my vote a day before the May 10, 2010 elections. It was a battle between  Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Gibo. It may sound cheesy but my heart says “vote for Noynoy”, but my mind says I should go for Gibo.

Good thing I was able to combine the two and come up with a single candidate. And I chose a not so popular one. I knew he would not win, but I was hoping for luck to come in (yes, luck… not dayaan). Though I know that it would create a problem if Gibo wins – you know.. he’s not popular on surveys and he’s affiliated to President Arroyo – so some people might think that he (and his political machinery) cheated. It might lead to people power, they might say that the automated election is not credible, etc.

Why him? After the compromise it was easy to give a reason. ..

I voted for Gibo because I believed in him more.
